Declan along with his beast Ryn form a wonderful pair which has won battles for the king on all occasion. The man has never lost at any point in his life, although from the outside he does not appear to be an experienced person from the inside he has all the knowledge one needs to deal with the evil forces.
Bryce O’ Connor and Luke Chmilenko have created this series together and they have invested a lot of time on Declan for a proper introduction. Declan thought that he has confronted every demon on the land and has become fully experienced but life changes drastically for him.
Nick Podehl narrates the rise of men from their graves and the approach of the mythical creatures like the dragons in this tale. Declan and Ryn find them in real trouble at this point. They have the opportunity to run away from the spot but this might lead the enemy to the kingdom.
So they decide to stay and try to bury the undead who have risen from their graves all of a sudden. Listening to Child of the Daystar and Iron Prince will give the audience further taste of authors’ other series. Perfect starting has remained the key in all of the series by these two authors. They don’t highlight the character very much in the first chapter but then keep on decorating it throughout the novel. Moreover, it is always one man against all types of situations that makes us focus on the hero. We tend to develop a sympathy for the hero too who is always suffering undeservedly.
