Tom Abrahams didn’t write the books at the same time rather they were published separately at the beginning. Later on they were collected in one book and were narrated by Kevin Pierce. Human race has been sent into darkness and this means that there is no communication of any kind and the use of technology has been banned in a big way.
During this dark time, those who are responsible for the thing are working behind the shadows and they want to get their job done before everything comes on line. A stranded astronaut tries to protect himself and his family with the help of some friends. There are forces in the world who want to change the shape of the world forever.
The author has taken the help of several astronauts as well to design this trilogy which is narrated especially by Kevin Pierce whose voice is customized for such a story. One in the Hand and Canyon also showed that the human race can survive anything if they want to. Only those men go down who stop fighting and think that they cannot get the job done otherwise a human has the capacity to accomplish the impossible.
A dark world brings the best out of the humans as they stand together in the time of need. The three books are not very lengthy so the audience can listen to all the three parts in continuity. Even if there is a break in the continuity, there would be no issue in understanding the thing.
