Robert Jordan was an awesome writer of epic fantasy and science fiction. The Wheel of Time is his most successful and well known series and A Crown of Swords is its 7th chapter. The series was completed by Brandon Sanderson with few of its last chapters, after Robert Jordan died in 2007. His legacy still remains that the science fiction enthusiasts would cherish for a very long time to come. It will be a great literary treat to go through his The Eye of the World and The Great Hunt novels.
The magical pair of Kate Reading and Michael Kramer have a fan base of their own in the audio version of the Wheel of Time series. They managed to do full justice with the storyline of this series and also the characters.
In this novel of the Wheel of Time series, you will find the characters of Elayne, Mat and Aviendha coming ever closer. They were close enough to the bowl ter’angreal. It might play a role in the reversal of the endless heat wave of the world. The restoration of natural weather might become a possibility soon. Egwene started to gather all the different types of women who had the potential to channel. It included Windfinders, Wise Ones, Sea Folk and also some other surprises. Above all, Rand is up against the Forsaken Sammael which was right within the Shadar Logoth shadows.
A Crown of Swords is a top novel with a gripping storyline. The character building was phenomenal as well. The production quality of the novel was low. There were many lines in the audio form that were repeated and then there were pauses in between for no reason. However, it had nothing to do with the performance of both the narrators, who were exceptional as always.
