This is not a book rather it is a journey into the world of J.R.R. Tolkien where everything happens differently. There are mythical creatures wandering here and there in this book which is surely amazing to see. The book does not possess just one story rather it has five of the finest the author has ever created. If you are looking for a single story then The Return of the King and The Two Towers could prove as the best choice otherwise this book is just superb.
There is the story of this toy dog in this book which can impress you most of all because the dog comes to life through magic and then it starts seeing the world. After that, the audience is told everything from the point of view of that dog. It is that toy dog who provides an idea about the world in a different way.
Derek Jacobi has narrated the second story in a more dramatic way because it is about dragons. The men who are trying to protect the town from dragons are not heroes at all still they manage to do their job correctly in one way or the other. Missions which Tom completes are quite appealing because we see how this young lad goes with the hobbits and then he is seen with trolls and other such creatures as well.
Painter Niggle was also looking for perfection in his works in this book and he was lucky that he got what he desired at the end of the story. In books like this, there is always something that can stay in the mind of the listener forever.
