The Solar War is a science fiction and fantasy title. It is the first one in Siege of Terra: The Horus Heresy novel series. The book is written by John French. He is the author of many novels in the Horus Heresy series. Praetorian of Dorn after the subject title is a highly prominent novel of the author and so is his Age of Darkness.
The audio narration of the book is done by Jonathan Keeble. He is a very capable narrator and made this novel so much special for the listeners with his soulful voice. After 7 years of war, it eventually came to the end for the infamous Horus Heresy conflict.
Terra then stood within the sights of Warmaster, the seat of the rule of his father and the THroneworld. The desire of Horus was nothing less than the Emperor of Mankind’s death and also the sheer subjugation of the Imperium. He became the dominant vessel of the Chaos and accumulated an awful force with which to enact his vengeance and will.
However, the path to the Throne would be a very hard one as Rogal Dorn, a primarch, the protector of Terra, and the Praetorian marshaled the defenses. First and foremost, Horus Heresy must look to challenge the strength of the Sol System as well as the many fleets accumulated there. The Solar War is a thorough, deep, and breathtaking title. There are two very prominent halves to the narrative, which make it more like two books in one. It would have been better if it was just the one. The narrator, Jonathan Keeble once again was at his usual best.
