Eden’s Gate: The Ascent is a science fiction and fantasy novel. It is the sixth book in Eden’s Gate novel series which is written by Edward Brody. He is a Californian writer of science fiction. He is also an excellent travel writer where he is usually indulged in a foreign culture and art stuff. In literary writing, you will find his Eden’s Gate: The Scourge and Eden’s Gate: The Sparrow novels to be quite good ones. Both these novels are from the same Eden’s Gate novel series and those will make a very pleasant experience in audio.
The audio narration of the subject novel is done by Pavi Proczko. It was an amazing performance that added to the quality of this audio novel. As a new member of the Mage’s Guild, Gunnar started with his training under Eanos and Darion among others. However, the pride of being part of the guild was to get access to a weird device. It was something that could help all of its members to find out the areas that were known for their powerful magic.
During a routine outdoor trip with another mage in the group, a band of mysterious Magi attacked and knew a lot more about the Gunnar than anyone outside should. They knew it very well that he was a Reborn. Moreover, they knew that he stole the Fellblade. Even worse, they have been captured by those whom he loved a lot.
This book overall is just an average one. There is way too much unnecessary romance. The previous books in the series were way better and this one kind of disappointed with the standards that were set quite high earlier.
