On the wedding day the prince is cursed and he runs to Elantris to save his life, in his absence the bride faces terrible circumstances in the castle. The priest wants to take over and it is up to the princess to keep things going until the real successor arrives.
Meanwhile the prince tries to form an alliance at Elantris against those who have cursed him and forced him to run away from his own castle. Ending is a good one like always but the pains which the prince and princess face are out of this world. Sanderson does not add many tragedies at the ending and that’s why his stories are liked by kids of all ages.
