Long ago a person gave the concept that the world of games and fiction looks beautiful and ideal because there are no humans in it. When humans enter something they start corrupting it by the thoughts of greed and dominance. Max in the first book by D. Rus was dying and there were no chances of his survival.
Then he got the chance to enter the game world where he got a new healthy body of an avatar. Living in the world of swords and magic seemed easy but later more humans started entering the cities of AlterWorld. Not everyone coming to the new world had the same motive which Max and his friends possess. The new men and women coming to this world want power and for this purpose, they start making the others their slaves.
After that, they started shifting the gold of the AlterWorld to the real human world which was their basic motive from day one. For Max, this was the end of his dream world because humans have started corrupting this world too. But then he gave a second glance at his body and realized that he is not in the crippled state that he used to be in the real world thus this time he can fight back.
If only he can save this world from collapsing then it would be everything for him. This book is also narrated by the official narrator Michael Goldstrom. It lies approximately in the center of AlterWorld and The Battle so it works as a bridge between these two parts. The story is in nice continuity and at no point, we observe any breaking in the plot or story.
