Bella Forrest in the first part of the series introduced us to the deadly island where the sun is not allowed to shine bright. The island is governed by the prince of darkness and he decorates it with the dolls of his choice. Once a slave girl from the human world enters this island she is not allowed to go back ever. Even after her death her soul just wanders on the island and her dead body decays near the shore.
Sofia had a lot of dreams about her high school life but on her seventeenth birthday, she was transported to this island and was picked to decorate the harem of the dark lord. Since then she has been serving Derek who has problems of his own to deal with. The dangerous and threatening dark lord is a creature with a broken heart and when he sees Sofia that broken heart starts to melt even more.
The place which Sofia makes in Derek’s heart force the vampire to take a momentous decision i.e setting the slave girl free. At first, Sofia gets really excited and this ray of hope is depicted by the narrators Emma Galvin, Michael Braun, and Zachary Webber. She even starts planning for her high school life and then she thinks that she cannot just leave Derek alone.
