Nevada and Rogan’s story comes a long way, both are attached through fate and there is nothing they can do about it. They have the power to read minds but so far they haven’t been able to read each other’s mindfully. Time after time in the series the two have needed one another during several missions and this one is their final mission as it is the last part of the series.

Ilona Andrews puts in front of the fans this last episode in a gigantic way so that they can remember their favorite characters forever. Nevada has been troubled not by her cases rather by the man who has been helping her in solving the tough cases. Things between the two lovers were reaching a conclusion point when a new case emerged before them.

The case was related to Rogan’s ex-fiancée whose husband has gone missing. The return of that woman in Rogan’s life was troubling for Nevada who was planning for a future life finally. Renee Raudman brings a change in the tone of narration especially to show the audience that Nevada was not feeling comfortable. Also, Rogan is feeling restless because of Nevada’s growing powers which have made her a celebrity now.

The story creates more challenges for the two characters than Blood Heir and Magic Bites. In the end we observe them fighting against their inner conflicts as well. Things get resolved in different ways and the end luckily is not tragic which makes it a good story altogether. Those who have been with the series from the first part will get up with a satisfying smile on their face.
