There are four books before this one and the series has not yet lost its spice by any means. Susan Stoker has kept the interest of the audience alive with the extra flavour which she has added in every part of the sequence. The narrator Stella Bloom has also remained the same throughout the series and the voice has developed an association with the audience and the story. Searching for Caryn painted the emergence of a strong hero and in this episode, the hero is already strong psychologically and physically.
Faulkner happens to be a bomb expert and he has disposed of many bombs in his career. It was during these events that his body got disfigured a little. Since then people look at him with pity only but when he saw Cheyenne in the supermarket, he knew that the look was different. The woman saved the lives of the people whom she didn’t know and proved that she was really pure at heart.
Cheyenne always liked men from the military but she wasn’t prepared to meet one in such an emergency situation. The two fell in love and started thinking about a future life full of love but their past catches up on them once again. The Protector introduced an individual who was ready to go to any limits to save the love of his life.
Faulkner is ready to do the same thing and he will make sure that he does not lose this only ray of hope in his life. It is the enemies who should be afraid because the man is coming for them and he means business.
