The Hating Game is a contemporary romantic comedy book. It is written by Sally Thorne. She is an amazing Australian author of romance with some good novels to her name. One of her better books is Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match and another recommended title written by Sally Thorne is Second First Impressions.
The audio narration of The Hating Game novel is done by Katie Schorr. The narration by Katie was not bad but The Hating Game is a kind of book that could have been much better with dual narration. Lucy was always sure that the nice girl will be able to get to the corner office. She was accommodating and charming while she takes pride in herself for being loved by all at Bexley & Gamin. But the only exception there was of physically intimidating, impeccably dressed, and coldly efficient Joshua Templeman. And the feeling in that regard was mutual.
They became trapped in a shared office together for 40 and sometimes up to 60 hours s well. They soon got into a never-ending, addictive game of one-upmanship. There was the Staring Game. The HR Game. The Mirror Game. Lucy just couldn’t allow Joshua to beat her at any given thing. This was especially true when a big new promotion was up for grabs. If Lucy succeeded there, she would become the boss Joshua. If she loses then she would resign. So why were the steamy dreams about Joshua in a way as if she was going on a hot date with him?
The Hating Game is quite an enjoyable slow burn. The storyline and the writing style of the author are brilliant. The characters of the book are fun too and quite realistic. The overall experience with this book will be sweet.
