The plot of any story is very important on all levels. If the plot is not an awesome one then there is a chance that the story would not impress the audience even after a good start. This problem has been there in many stories but those were not with the magical touch of Sandra Brown.
Sandra is a genius with the pen and no one in the world can doubt this thing. Those who think that the skill of this great author can be challenged then they should listen to Overkill and Lethal first of all and their thinking style is bound to change.
Jordie and Shaw meet at a hotel in a strange way because Shaw was actually there to kill Jordie and he changed his plan at the last moment. Instead of killing Jordie, the killer decided to abduct her so that he can demand the $ 30 million from her brother which he has recently stolen. Jordie’s brother has stolen the money and there is more than one man who wants to have that kind of wealth. So everyone starts coming after Shaw as well because he has Jordie whose brother is going to come for her sooner or later.
With the passage of time, the two come closer and at this time in the novel Shaw starts thinking that perhaps Jordie is not that much innocent after all rather she too knows about the dark plans of her brother. It is Stephen Lang who narrated Shaw’s character more effectively because we listen to the story according to her perspective of Shaw. Jordie’s true face and the secrets attached to her personality are brought to light later on.
