It was a heist in which four people performed successfully and they thought that they had stolen half a million dollars successfully but they were wrong. Actually one of them had other plans in mind so, at the dawn of the next day, one of them was in the hospital while the other one was dead. The teenager who helped them was in jail and their last member just ran away with the money, never to be found.
Now twenty years have passed and Arden Maxwell has become a young lady now, actually, she is the daughter of the man who is supposed to be the one who ran away with the money. Arden had a terrible childhood because of her father and she struggled hard during her teenage too. Still, after a span of two decades, she does not think that she is living a normal life so she decides to go back to her hometown to solve this issue permanently. When she returns, two people who participated in the heist get alert once again.
One of them has become an attorney and the teenager who was thrown into jail is out of prison because he enrolled in the army and regained his freedom by working for the government. Ledge i.e the teenager who has become a man now happens to be aware that the corrupt attorney actually killed their third partner but he hasn’t been able to find any proof against him during these years.
When they hear that Arden has returned they think that they have a chance to get the money again. Sandra Brown amazes the audience every time, all of the listeners were really inspired by Texas! Chase and writing the story like Overkill was another monumental thing for the author. In Kyf Brewer’s voice, the genius has produced another story that has secrets and betrayals to the maximum.
