Nicholas was born in America but he was raised in UK after which he got a job in Scotland Yard. Now he is the chief inspector of the organization and is supposed to be one of the best men for a serious and dangerous job. He does not hesitate to take on big missions because he believes in his abilities and he thinks that he is fully capable of performing tasks that seem to be impossible.
Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison have talked about agents Lacey and Dillon in this story once again and these two agents were seen in many previous series created by these two authors. However, they don’t have a detailed role in this story because it is chiefly about Nicholas who comes to know that one of his colleagues has been killed in the exhibition of the Crown Jewels.
It was sad news but more terrorizing was the thing that the Koh-i-Noor Diamond was stolen from the crown of the queen. The criminal named Fox is said to have stolen this big diamond because he believes on prophesy linked to this rare jewel. Thus the story moves forward in the voice of Renee Raudman and MacLeod Andrews.
Nicholas takes the help of another agent named Mike as well because the mission is of a serious kind and there is no chance of an error. Reckoning and The Cove are also tales of dangerous missions and we can say that all of these missions which the two authors have painted in their books have been epic. It is wrong to say that the mission in one book was bigger than the other because all of them have the same status.
