Four friends in the novel have been together since their childhood and they know everything about each other. They have stood by each other in every thick and thin. Whenever the need arises these friends have proved that they are really loyal to each other. This time when these friends are approaching a mature age, they think that they have to bring big changes in their life.
All of them have certain issues which they need to resolve and they have decided that they are going to make those momentous changes in their life. Cassie for instance has been betrayed by her boyfriends all the time and she thinks that she cannot trust a man in her life ever again. Still, her heart thinks that she can find the right kind of man for herself and when she gets in touch with a biker she thinks that she can change her taste for a while.
Robyn Carr has come up with a different women in the story but all of them have issues linked to their personal lives. Julie married the man she used to love and then she started feeling tired because of his clumsy approach to life. Marty’s husband happens to be a firefighter and it seems that he has lost all interest in her now.
This has forced her to think in other directions now. Not to forget the character of Beth whose character is also narrated by Kate Tumble. Beth also suffers from certain issues that are completely personal. Wild Man Creek was not so much influenced by female characters and this one is completely dominated by these four female characters who decide to help each other just like in old times.
