The Brass Verdict

It is not often that Michael Connelly joins two of his best characters together in a single novel. The novel has Mickey Haller and Harry Bosch at the same time and both of these characters are playing an equal role in this novel. For Peter Giles, it was difficult to narrate these two characters with the same strengthened voice but the narrator managed well.

At the start of the story, the author tells us that Haller is not having the best of time in his personal and professional life. Somehow he wasn’t able to click in any department of his life. Then Jerry Vincent who was a Hollywood lawyer gets killed and Haller is asked to defend the one who is caught i.e Walter Elliot.

Elliot is said to have killed Vincent along with his wife who was in love with Vincent. Haller thinks that this big case can solve his problems because it can bring fame for him in a short time. However, he wasn’t aware that the real killer was still out there and he was aiming for Haller as his next victim. Harry Bosch joins in at this stage and he shows his intentions that he wants to save Elliot.

So both of these characters join forces to save the same person but first of all, they have to catch the real killer. Nine Dragons and Desert Star will fade away in front of this story which has two heroes of the first rank involved in it. The killer is hiding behind the veil and the skill of both of these heroes will be required to get the job done.
