13 Hours Audiobook
Listening directly from the mouth of a warrior always brings energy to the listener. Mitchell Zuckoff has told us many stories of his life while serving the country at different locations around the globe. Lost in Shangri-La also brings back a few happenings of the past like this one. The memories are really scary on many occasions but it also shows the true courage which is always there in the heart of a soldier.
On September 11, 2012, the terrorists attacked one of the American compounds in Libya. The station was named the Annex of Benghazi. The security officers were not ready for such an attack also they were only six in number. Instead of running from the spot and trying to save their life, these six men didn’t leave their ground.
They knew that if they run away from the spot then the enemy would capture everything that was there in the compound. The battle continued for thirteen long hours during which the strength of both sides was tested to the limit. Not many people know about this incident and some think that it was a casual thing in the war zone but that was not the case.
The six heroes who fought against the enemy for thirteen long hours saved precious lives and also showed the enemy that they will never succeed in such a terrorist attack. The strength of the US army was also tested and it was certified that no one can cross the line as long as the guard is there. Mitchell narrated everything all by himself because he wanted us to feel the energy in our veins.
