Life is the most precious thing that is given to us by God and we cannot say that there is any man in this world who differs from this fact. Over the years people have tried to make their life fruitful and productive because we cannot waste this precious gift. Still, we think that life is too short to cope with all the problems. Even if a person is allowed to live for eighty years on this earth then he will have only four thousand weeks to lie.
According to Oliver Burkeman who is the author and narrator of this book, this life span is not ample. Many people have given philosophies and principles about time management so that we can utilize every moment of our four thousand weeks in a better way.
The more we read about these philosophies, the tenser we become because we start thinking about the loss of time more and more. This is highly ironic that when we are thinking about the waste of time then at that moment we are actually wasting our time. So the author has tried to provide something positive to us so that we can live a normal and peaceful life instead of a more efficient life which ends up in anxiety most of the time.
We lose the happy moments because we are calculating something that is always running away from us so we should think of ourselves as water and only then we will be able to enjoy the flow. The Antidote will further enhance the vision of the audience about the things linked to daily life which makes us feel frustrated most of the time.
