The story of this novel is set in the year 1772. It started with the rift between the colonies of America and Britain, which resulted in putting a frightening word right into the minds of all the different concerned. And that word was ‘revolution’. Right in the backwoods of the North Carolina region, violence erupted its ugly head one more time just as the many cabins all of a sudden were burnt down to the ground. For the sake of preserving the colony for King George III, the governor of the place pleaded with Jamie for bringing all the people together and also restoring peace. But Jamie on the other side had the privilege of knowing that the war by no means could be avoided.

Outlander became a worldwide sensation and it has more than 12 million copies in print. In that series, the subject novel with its international edition is one of the finest.
